Stephanie Hall, Principal
stephanie.hall@sd47.bc.caStephanie Hall has been a part of Â鶹ÊÓƵ since 2005 and is now the Principal for PIE. She first came to the PIE program as a parent after enrolling her son in Grade 10 in the 2004-2005 school year and since then, she has worked as a PIE teacher, coordinator, and vice-principal before stepping into her current role in September of 2022. Stephanie received a Bachelor of Education degree from University of Victoria and later a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Vancouver Island University. She is passionate about PIE and believes online learning allows students the flexibility to make their education fit their individual life circumstances.
Allan Saugstad, Regional Principal, Bowen Island
allan.saugstad@sd47.bc.caAllan Saugstad has been a school administrator for 25 years and is currently a Regional Principal for PIE. Earning both his Bachelor of Education degree and Master’s in Educational Leadership from University of British Columbia, Allan then began his career in Vancouver as a teacher and then vice-principal. In 2003, Allan collaboratively started an online learning program on Bowen Island, which joined the Â鶹ÊÓƵ PIE program in 2019. Allan believes when learning is immersed in community – at school, home, the neighbourhood, or online -- it becomes rich, relevant, personal, and deeply satisfying.
Ian Landy, Regional Principal, Oceanview

Ian Landy has been a school administrator for 16 years and is currently a Regional Principal for PIE at Oceanview. After earning his Bachelor of Arts and Education degrees from the University of British Columbia, Ian began his career as a teacher-librarian and later became a principal-librarian after completing his Master’s in Education at the University of Phoenix. Ian has long been a passionate advocate for integrating technology into the curriculum, and utilizing Project Based Learning and Descriptive Formative Feedback. He blogs about each 'day of learning' at and is always reading and thinking of ways to improve educational experiences for our students.
