Jasmin Marshman, Principal
Jasmin.Marshman@sd47.bc.ca
Jasmin Marshman is the Principal at Brooks Secondary. A resident in the qathet region since her teen years, Jasmin graduated from Max Cameron Secondary and then went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Victoria and a Master’s in Rural Education from James Cook University.
Jasmin then returned home to begin her teaching career with Â鶹ÊÓƵ and after 6 years of teaching almost every grade and subject in the classroom, she transitioned into educational leadership. She was first awarded the Vice-Principal position with Grief Point and then James Thomson, and shortly thereafter transitioned to become Principal there for 8 years. While at JT, Jasmin was instrumental in building out the then newly created French Immersion program as well as running the Indigenous Legacy Project along with Tla’amin Nation.
Principalship at Henderson followed, and now she is proud to lead the Brooks team. Jasmin is deeply committed to supporting children in their learning and teachers in their work and approaches all of it with the unwavering lens that schools were built for children to learn in and that nothing else matters besides ensuring that children are benefited academically, socially, and emotionally while they are there.
