Student ECO Leaders in Action!

Yesterday, students from James Thomson Elementary, Edgehill Elementary, Henderson Elementary, Westview Elementary, Partners In Education, and Brooks Secondary ECO team’s participated in a half-day Eco Change Operation (ECO) event!
Students came together to strengthen their school's ECO teams, develop sustainability skills, and explore ways to make a positive impact. From making energy balls and seed bombs to upcycling t-shirts into bags and experimenting with natural care products, students dove into hands-on activities that promote sustainability.
They wrapped up the day with self-directed planning for their schools and a group celebration focused on community building!
This event is just one of the many ways the district brings its sustainability plan to life. Find the full Sustainability Plan here. ÓË»ï¸
